Aquarium Chillers
Aquarium Chillers are needed to keep the
water temperature within an optimal range for your aquarium specimens.
When sized correctly, the aquarium chiller will help maintain
aquarium temperature through severe heat conditions. Aquarium
Chillers are available in two forms: drop-in and in-line style.
Drop-in Aquarium Chillers have
cooling coils that are placed in the aquarium's sump to cool
the water. The advantage for this method is that no plumbing
is required. The disadvantage , is the size of the coil that
must be submerged in the aquarium sump.
In-line Aquarium Chillers have
internal cooling coils. Water is pumped into the chiller, cooled
as it goes through the chiller, and then returned back to either
the the tank itself or the tanks sump. The chief advantage of
an in-line chiller is that it can be placed remotely from the
tank (such as a basement, a different room or a garage). Disadvantage,
is the need for a pump to take the water from the sump, to the
chiller.

rating that maximizes the lifespan of
the compressor while ensuring the highest overall efficiency.
