This damsel comes from the Eastern Pacific. It is very hearty and a good eater, accepting almost all foods. This is one of the largest species, reaching a size of about ten to twelve inches. It is aggressive and territorial, and not compatible with same or like species. It also prefers cooler water. This fish is not reef compatible, however, it is a fairly good shipper.
