We hope you find ordering from Aquatic Connection a pleasant experience. Aquatic Connection absolutely guarantees that you will not find healthier quality aquatic livestock from any other source.  


Answers to Common Questions on Shipping Livestock Orders

Is There a Minimum Order? - Aquatic Connection Live will ship any size order. However, for all orders under $75.00 without shipping, there is an additional $10.00 that will be added to your invoice when your order is charged.
 
How do I determine my shipping costs? -  The rates you see in the charts below are what you pay. All rates listed are for the contiguous 48 states. Live stock orders have 2 choices, Overnight Air, which is guaranteed overnight delivery by the end of the next day; or Fedex Priority Overnight Air which has an additional $10.00 in cost, which guarantees earlier delivery in the day. For the exact guaranteed delivery time for your specific area, you must contact Fedex Customer Service. Fedex phone number : 1-800-463-3339. Use the origin zip code: 33351 for transit times. 
 
How are livestock orders shipped? -  To ensure you receive the healthiest livestock and to reduce the travel stress , your order will shop via Fedex using our perfected shipping procedures. LiveRock/Live Sand, and Aquarium supplies are all handled as seperate orders, and shipped seperately. 
 
How will I know when my order is shipping? -  The day your order ships, you will receive an e-mail from Federal Express containing your Federal Express tracking number so you can make arrangements to sign for your order upon scheduled arrival.
 
When will I recieve my tracking information? - A tracking number will be emailed to you with information confirming the location and time your package will arrive. Tracking information is sent by email from FedEx (not Aquatic Connection Live). You will receive your tracking number about one hour after shipments depart from our facility which is usually between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM EST.   
 
Is it possible to hold my order at a Fedex Holding facility? - Yes you can. To reduce stress on livestock and as a customer convenience to our customers, Aquatic Connection Live endorses the use of qualified FedEx Hold Facilities as your shipment destination. You must provide us with the address, so to find your nearest hold facility...

Can I have my order shipped to a different address? - Yes you can, as long as we have your correct billing address on your order. 
 
Are Saturday Deliveries available for Livestock orders? -  FedEx does deliver Overnight packages on Saturday but not all zip codes qualify for Saturday Delivery service. A $22.50 charge per box will be added to your invoice. To see if any Saturday service is available, check Fedex link: Click here to check availability 
 
Can Aquatic Connection ship out of the continental U.S.A. ? - We cannot ship to Hawaii, APO adresses, Post Office Boxes, Puerto Rico, other U.S. Territories or other countries.   
 
Do I need to sign for my delivery? - Yes. For the well-being of your new aquarium livestock, we ask that someone be available at the time of delivery to prevent your new inhabitants from being exposed to the elements and extreme temperatures. Because this is so important, it is a requirement for our guarantee to apply.
 
How do I get a head start on understanding special acclimation of shipped livestock? -  To ensure the good health of your new arrivals, you may wish to get a head start on learning the procedures and make sure everything is on hand. Please follow the steps outlined on our website carefully. They will differ from your normal acclimation procedures from your local LFS, because the ordered livestock has been in shipping bags for a much longer time, so the acclimation instructions are very important.

 Preparing for Your New Arrivals 
How do I make sure my new Livestock is compatable with what is in my tank and with each other? - First, please review Aquatic Connection Live's Compatibility Charts to ensure your new arrival is welcome in its designated aquarium.

What should I do with my aquarium before my new arrivals come? -  Make doubly sure you have a healthy aquarium before your livestock arrives by performing a water change, making sure your filter media is clean, and examining the general condition of current inhabitants.
 
How do I know my water is safe for new arrivals? - There are many excellent test kits on the market. Make sure you test your water parameters before your livestock arrives. If the water is not up to the requirements below, do a water change and recheck water parameters again.

 Returns & Other Notes

a)Livestock Returns - When we ship livestock, great care is taken to assure the animals arrive in great shape to your door. If you wish to return a specimen, you must use first request a return number, called an RMA Authorization. You can receive your RMA number by emailing our service department at service@aquacon.com. For the specimens healthy return, the same shipping method we used to get your specimens to you must be used when returning your specimens. We further suggest you work with an aquarium center who can provide your specimens an oxygen and saltwater filled container, packaged large enough, and strong enough to safely ship the animal back. Please be aware that if the specimens are in poor health when returned or worse perish, credit will not be honored. If any help is needed you may contact us at via email, at service@aquacon.com for help..With all that said, it is most important to make your selections carefully so you do not need to handle the tedious return procedures. Please make your selections carefully. 

b)
Aquarium supplies - If you wish to return a product, you must first request a return number, called an RMA Authorization. You can receive your RMA number by emailing service@aquacon.com. Upon receipt of unopened, unused and re-saleable product we will credit you for the returned items less a 25% restocking fee and all shipping charges .

Freight Charges - Freight charges are never refunded. If your order was shipped free freight then the freight charge is calculated as 25% of the selling price or $5.00, whichever is higher.

d) To cover costs associated with processing online orders, there's a $5.00 processing charge added to all invoices at the time of processing, the $5,00 addition will not show on your invoice and is added at the time the order goes through credit card processing.

Shipping Damage - We apologize greatly for any product that is damaged in shipment and we will do everything possible to rectify the situation as fast as possible.

Order Cancellations will receive a full refund provided the order the order was not a special order, and has not yet been picked up by Fedex for delivery. All cancellations must be sent by either email or fax. Phone cancellations are not acceptable since a written record of all transactions must be kept. Please send email with subject line "Cancel order# xxxxxxx".

Returns and exchanges - In the event that a return is nescessary, please email service@aquacon.com for a Return Authorization Number. No returns will be accepted without one. All returns and exchanges of aquarium supplies are to be returned freight pre-paid and insured. There is no restocking fee for an exchange. On refunds, all freight charges and a 25% restocking fee will apply. No exceptions.
